Overview
A respected independent insurance broker is recruiting a Senior Motor Trade Account Executive to drive new business across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The role suits an experienced, commercially confident producer with strong knowledge of Motor Trade Combined or wider commercial risks. Office attendance is typically two to three days per week, with the remainder spent remotely or visiting clients.
Responsibilities
* Drive new business across Birmingham and the surrounding areas as a Senior Motor Trade Account Executive.
* Focus on securing new Motor Trade Combined and wider commercial clients, with Road Risks forming a smaller part of the portfolio.
* Manage your own workflow, deliver strong technical advice and maintain a visible presence in the market.
* Build a pipeline, win face-to-face meetings and engage confidently with senior decision makers.
* Enjoy support from a skilled broking team to focus on client acquisition and development rather than administration or high-volume KPIs.
Qualifications / Ideal candidate
* Proven new business generator with the ability to build a pipeline, win face-to-face meetings and engage confidently with senior decision makers.
* Strong technical understanding and relationship-building skills; the maturity to work autonomously.
* Motor Trade experience is preferred, but there is a Plan B option for candidates from a commercial combined background with strong technical ability aiming to transition into Motor Trade. Full support will be provided for the right person.
* Experience focusing on Motor Trade Combined and wider commercial risks with a majority of activity in client-facing roles.
