Role Overview
You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the Merchandising department. Your duties will include forecasting sales and stock levels to meet sales plans and profit targets, monitoring department performance to identify opportunities and risks, collaborating with Buying teams for effective range planning, participating in trade meetings with senior management, evaluating department performance focusing on lead times, and developing and managing an Assistant Merchandiser (AM) to support their growth. Additionally, you will manage the WSSI and support trade planning activities.

Strategic Developments
Following a joint venture between ASOS and HEARTLAND in October 2024, ASOS is establishing a dedicated cross-functional team to accelerate growth for TOPSHOP and TOPMAN. The brands will benefit from ASOS’s infrastructure and resources while maintaining their creative independence. Over the next year, we plan to expand both online and offline retail channels, including launching Topshop.com and establishing new wholesale partnerships.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in Merchandising within a fashion retail environment
* Experience in planning weekly sales, stock, and intake management
* Confidence to manage and own a product category, including participating in weekly trade meetings
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Experience in managing and developing team members (desirable)
* Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and MS Office applications; knowledge of reporting tools is a plus
