This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Level 3 Social Worker to join the Child Health and Disabilities (CHAD) Team in Bournemouth. You will work with children with disabilities and complex health needs, delivering high-quality statutory social work and ensuring robust safeguarding and care planning. What you will do Undertake comprehensive assessments for children with disabilities and complex needs. Work with children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care plans. Develop, implement, and review child protection and care plans focused on safety and positive outcomes. Work closely with health and SEND colleagues to deliver coordinated and holistic support. Undertake court work within both Family Court and Court of Protection settings. Engage directly with children and families, building strong, supportive relationships. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records in line with statutory duties and organisational policies. Advocate for the voice, wishes, and best interests of children throughout all interventions. Requirements Essential: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and/or complex health needs. Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and statutory frameworks. Experience undertaking court work and producing high-quality reports. Ability to manage complex caseloads confidently. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable: Experience working in a CHAD or disabilities team. Knowledge of SEND processes and multi-disciplinary working models.
