About the Role
The Senior Pastry Chef will work in the Patisserie production team. While not a strictly managerial role, they will be the most senior of the Pastry Chefs, leading by example and ensuring high standards.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the production of organic cakes, biscuits, puddings, and other Patisserie items.
* Ensure high-quality products with continuous improvement.
* Lead the team in food safety and traceability according to the Daylesford Quality Management System.
Operational Duties
* Prepare ingredients and ensure accurate measurement.
* Oversee mixing, baking, and finishing processes.
* Maintain a safe workplace complying with H&S regulations.
Numbers & Management
* Share ownership of P&L, driving sales and minimizing wastage.
* Contribute to order fulfillment and stock management.
* Assist in audits and legal compliance.
People & Development
* Complete mandatory training.
* Support onboarding and propose efficiency improvements.
* Communicate effectively within the team and with external partners.
* Support sustainability initiatives and promote conscious living.
