Senior Authorised Person (up to 33kV)
Base Location: Slough, Southampton or Poole
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time
Salary: Up to £63,000 (depending on experience) for a 37-hour week
Are you ready to take the lead in high-voltage electrical operations and make a real impact in the power distribution sector?
We're seeking a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join our dynamic team, supporting construction and asset replacement projects across SSEN networks. This is a hands-on, site-based role where your expertise will be critical in ensuring safe and efficient electrical operations.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Execute LV & HV/EHV switching, isolation, earthing, and safety documentation duties
* Develop switching schedules and methods of work
* Control and monitor electrical construction and fault restoration on HV/LV networks up to 33kV
* Lead emergency response and power restoration efforts
* Manage and supervise Jointer and Fitter teams
* Provide technical guidance and support to clients and colleagues
* Travel within the region, with occasional weekend and on-call duties
What We're Looking For:
* Authorisation to conduct switching operations from LV to 11kV (33kV desirable)
* Strong safety-first mindset and operational excellence
* In-depth knowledge of DNO switchgear and associated plant
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Familiarity with current regulations, standards, and codes of practice
* 132kV Authorisations would be desirable
