Being a Care Professional is an essential role supporting older people to live well at home instead of being in a care home. With the support of our team and industry leading training, you can feel fully equipped to deliver the high-quality care Home Instead has become known for.
Visiting the same Clients for continuity of care and to allow you to build up a meaningful relationship
Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit
Help with everyday tasks such as; Personal Care - Supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent.
You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistant as full training is given. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience.
Also a sense of humour certainly helps.
You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.
