As a Customer Team Leader, you'll lead a small team in a fast-paced Co‑op store, helping to deliver essential services to your community. Depending on your store this could involve working in the post office, bakery, supporting online services, or assisting home‑delivery drivers. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers. You will keep shelves stocked and support sales, offering more choice and new services, and act as a familiar face in the community while championing the Co‑op membership growth.
Responsibilities
* Own the day‑to‑day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
* Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
* Work hands‑on on the shop floor and tills, and support the in‑store bakery with daily operations.
* Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy and HR processes.
* Champion Co‑op through community engagement and membership growth.
Qualifications & Skills
* Passion for people and leadership.
* Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
* Skills in retail, merchandising or team management (experience not essential).
* Strong sense of community, commercial awareness and customer focus.
Working pattern
Varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and at least one weekend shift. The role will include working in the in‑store bakery.
