Overview
Teaching Assistant opportunity in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school based in Durham. This is a long-term contract position with a Monday–Friday pattern from 8:30 to 16:30. The school caters for young people aged 2–19 with a diverse range of special educational needs.

Responsibilities
* Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupils’ requirements
* Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
* Participate in planning and delivering the curriculum through lesson planning and execution
* Set up lessons, equipment and activities within the classrooms
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
Requirements / Qualifications
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
* Experience working in a transferable role
* Ability to follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil requirements
