Job Title: Full-Time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Contract: Long Term, Temp to Perm Possible
Start Date: 1st of September 2025
Location: Rochester, Kent
Daily rate: £90-£105
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN LSA to join a supportive school team on a full-time basis from September. This is a long-term role with the exciting possibility of a temp-to-perm contract for the right candidate. The successful applicant will provide 1:1 support for children and young people aged 4 to 18 who experience Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored 1:1 support to pupils with ASD across a range of ages (4-18)
* Assist teaching staff in the classroom to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
* Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development in line with individual needs
* Contribute to the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
* Liaise closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure consistency in support
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working in SEN classrooms or with children who have additional needs
* Personal experience or previous roles as a support worker with SEN children is highly valued
* Psychology graduates interested in applying their knowledge in an educational setting are welcome to apply
* Strong understanding and empathy for children with ASD and other SEN needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting young people’s learning and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
