Overview:

RF Engineers – Shape the Future of Secure Communications

We are looking for RF Engineers across a range of experience levels and specialisms to contribute towards mission critical programmes within the Defence, Cyber, and Intelligence sectors, with the chance to focus on areas such as circuit modelling, antenna design, and advanced RF testing and measurement.

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking engineering team delivering cutting-edge RF solutions, from the development of new technologies to in-depth vulnerability analysis and the deployment of operationally-ready applications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, model, and test RF circuits for a variety of applications, progressing designs from simulation through to physical implementation.
* Select and optimise antenna configurations based on mission and system requirements, including custom and off-the-shelf solutions.

Testing & Measurement

* Conduct RF testing using real-time tools such as spectrum analysers and vector signal analysers, contributing to full lifecycle system evaluation.

Vulnerability Analysis

* Investigate and assess RF system vulnerabilities, supporting the development of secure, resilient communications technologies.

System Development & Field Support

* Contribute to the integration, development, and verification of mission systems, including potential involvement in field trials and live demonstrations.

Specialist Tool Development

* Build bespoke tools to support the analysis, simulation, or evaluation of complex RF environments and systems.

You will have the opportunity to either specialise in a particular area or work across multiple domains, depending on your interests and experience.

What We’re Looking For:

* Must already hold enhanced UKIC DV Clearance
* Proven experience in RF communications systems implementation, testing, and analysis.
* Strong knowledge of RF circuit modelling and design.
* Hands-on experience with real-time test equipment, including spectrum analysers and vector network analysers.
* Familiarity with software-defined radio (SDR) systems and platforms.
* Experience in RF algorithm development and digital signal processing (DSP).
* Knowledge of antenna characterisation and optimisation.
* Background in embedded systems and vulnerability analysis.
* Familiarity with OpenCPI, GNU Radio, Python, C/C++, and other SDR tools.
* Experience with VHDL, Python, or C/C++ for RF or embedded development.
* Comfortable working in Linux environments and using tools like GitLab for version control.
