Prestwick Care, an expanding group of successful care homes in the North East, is now recruiting for an Activities Co-ordinator at Hadrian House. The successful candidate will plan, organise, and coordinate activities to promote active daily living for residents. The role also involves supporting carers in developing activity plans and organising external outings.

Main Responsibilities
* Assist residents with their daily activity programmes
* Promote strategies to improve stimulation
* Observe care planning needs and complete daily records
* Support social activities and help residents continue hobbies and activities
* Provide risk assessments in collaboration with nursing staff for activities and outings
* Report incidents to the Home Manager or Person in Charge
* Implement health and safety policies, including emergency and fire procedures
* Promote safe working practices
* Maintain the good reputation of the Care Home
* Organise entertainers as needed
* Develop individual social/life plans for residents with the care team, relatives, and residents
* Support fundraising efforts for social activities beyond allocated budgets
* Create marketing materials with the support of the Home Manager
