Logistics Coordinator - Newcastle - Up to £35,000\n \n Our client, who are a international logistics company are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team in Newcastle, UK\n As Logistics Coordinator, you will be tasked to Coordinate and arrange transportation of goods via all transport modes and dealing with customs and shipping documentation in line with client directives and standard operating procedures\n\nJob type: Permanent\n\nHours: Monday to Friday - 09:00am to 17:30pm\n\nSalary: Up to £35,000 DOE\n\nResponsibility:\n\nFacilitate the transportation of goods from one destination to another, including arranging transportation and orchestrating deliveries to meet internal and external customer demands, with a proactive approach to minimise delays and operational impact.\nCreate customs and shipping documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and clearance instructions in line with relevant requirements for imports and exports.\nEnsure compliance with customs regulations for all clients.\nObtain export and import entries to complete logistics files required to satisfy audit requirements.\nLiaise with freight forwarders to ensure efficient movement of goods.\nManage clients' HMRC records where required.\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge and a thorough understanding of HMRC regulations, Incoterms, and customs commodity codes.\nAttend loadout meetings and advise on all aspects of logistics and customs matters.\nConduct customs compliance checks on import and export entries and handle amendments with HMRC.Requirements:\n\nMinimum of 2 years' experience in logistics, importing, exporting, customs, or similar roles, covering air, sea, and road shipments.\nStrong experience with customs procedures.\nProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\nStrong communication skills - written and verbal.\nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.\nExcellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt to operational demands; must effectively prioritise tasks and manage fluctuating workloads.\nAbility to build strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors.\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing and checking information.WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
