Commissioned by HMPPS, the services support adult male ex‑offenders across the following four pathways:</p><ul><li>Family and Significant Others</li><li>Lifestyle and Associates</li><li>Social Inclusion</li></ul><p>The position is a Wellbeing Practitioner – Prison Lead based at one of our pan‑London hubs, with frequent travel across their clusters. Base preference may be stated in your application:</p><ul><li>Croydon</li><li>Romford</li><li>Canning Town</li><li>Kings Cross</li><li>Brixton</li><li>Ealing</li><li>Lewisham</li></ul><h3>Job Description</h3><p>About the role: The Wellbeing Practitioner – Prison Lead is responsible for supporting service users to address their needs and improve prospects, acting as a positive influence for change.</p><ul><li>Manage a caseload of service users, completing ongoing assessments and managing individual needs, capacity, opportunity, and motivation to rehabilitate.</li><li>Deliver interventions to support rehabilitation.</li><li>Work in partnership with local providers, HMPPS, the voluntary sector and other criminal justice organisations, taking into account risk information.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li>Confident, professional, and adaptable, able to work effectively in challenging environments.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, able to build and manage strong working relationships, share knowledge and skills to achieve shared goals.</li><li>Capable of motivating and supporting service users to change through one‑to‑one and group interventions.</li><li>Able to identify and recognise risk, and act according to risk management procedures to enable service users to manage their safety and that of others.</li><li>Proactively manage a caseload, utilising digital systems, and accurately share information with strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Good basic education, including Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.</li><li>Evidence of continual professional development.</li><li>Experience working with Microsoft Office – Word and Excel.</li><li>Desirable: any qualification relevant to working with those in the criminal justice system (e.g., criminology, criminal justice, social care, mental health, IAG, family).</li></ul><h3>Contract and Working Patterns</h3><ul><li>Contract: Permanent</li><li>Hours: Full time, 38 hours per week.</li><li>Location: Community‑based role with travel across various delivery and training sites across London.</li></ul><h3>Recruitment and Screening</h3><ul><li>Successful candidates must pass an enhanced DBS check, HMPPS Level 1 vetting, and a Right to Work in the UK check.</li><li>Applicants who do not meet Right to Work requirements will have applications automatically closed.</li></ul></div>
