The Senior Inventory Operations Specialist is a deeply curiousperson with a keen eye for detail and deep empathy and compassion forcolleagues and partners. This role will focus on improving ourinventory lifecycle: learning by helping colleagues with questions andchallenges by diving deeply into issues and seeing them through toresolution, developing and documenting new processes based on yourlearnings. This role is a key part of the Foundry and InventoryOperations team, working with a globally diverse team located inIndia, Germany, and the US, utilizing Jira & scrum methodologies. Thisis an important role within the business and a great opportunity tomake a real difference to our internal processes and how we help ourfont partners. Your work will help teams at Monotype do things moreefficiently and well. This role and our inventory are so foundationalthat the improvements you drive will be felt in the daily lives ofemployees and partners.
What you’ll be doing:
* Responsible for day-to-day operations around digitalinventory at Monotype, including:
* Building businessrequirements and decision-making artefacts with which collaborativedecisions are aligned on and ratified
* Further building andreinforcing the feedback loop between foundry partners and our foundryplatform through analysis of support data as well as feedback onplanned platform features and updates through active user acceptancetesting
* Creation and implementation of user documentation andtraining content
* Collaborating with our Global Data team tobuild requirements for necessary data sets to inform continuouslyimproved methods, support for our Go to Market teams, and or Foundriesand Foundry Platform
* Preparing new vendors and theirinventory for onboarding to our platform & facilitating the import oflarge libraries at scale
* Investigating issues with fonts,escalating to engineering teams when necessary
* Providingsupport to both internal and external users in ticketing system
* Documenting detailed information and developing new processesto improve efficiency
* Closely collaborate with Engineering,Product, and Go-to-Market teams to help answer questions about fontsand font data, providing insights into and fixing issues with the data
* Identify, document and escalate as necessary any issuesrelated to inventory
* Provide support to our Go-to-Market andProduct Management teams who rely on our inventory expertise, insightand data, as well as external partners and font sellers
What we’re looking for:
* 7+ years' experience in soft inventory operations,support, and QA.
* Degree in technical, business, or relatedfield.
* Experience with Excel, Confluence, and Data or ProductInformation Management Systems.
* Familiarity with Jira,Zendesk, Salesforce, or other ticketing/support software.
* High attention to detail and depth of curiosity to understandthe bigger picture to design solutions to solve problems in efficientways.
* Flexibility to work in old tools or software to keepthe business moving forward while supporting creation of new processesand tools.
* Strong communication skills & experiencesupporting non-technical users. You respond to emails quickly and withgood questions to truly understand what the person needs.
* Self-sufficient and fast learner with strong understanding ofuser experience; desire to design solutions and fix data issues withthe end-user in mind.
* Technical aptitude to understand datastructures and improve processes around data.
* In-depthknowledge of Agile process and scrum principles and prior experienceusing Jira with a team, experience with QA/QE best practices.
* A team player who’s always thinking of ways to make oursystems and data better.
* A simplification mindset; ability tosee the big picture and design solutions to solve problems in simpleefficient ways to create a solid foundation for future growth.
* Experience with Precisely EnterWorks or similar PIM/MasterData Management solutions (Akeneo, PimCore, Syndigo) a plus.
* Familiarity with fonts a plus.
