Description We are seeking a candidate to join our global Experience Design & Strategy team as a Design Coordinator. As a Design Coordinator, you will support the design and delivery of Charcoalblue’s Design & Experience Strategy projects, working closely with our Consultants, Associate Directors and Directors across multiple disciplines. In this role, you will gain direct exposure to capital projects, alongside structured training to develop your expertise in event and experience consulting and management. You will also contribute to the development of key partnerships by building strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients. Initially, this role will focus on a new and significant large-scale experiential project led by Charcoalblue, involving a global design team. You will primarily provide administrative design coordination support, while contributing to the successful management and delivery of the project. This position sits at Assistant Consultant level within Charcoalblue and offers a clear pathway for progression into a Consultant role. You will report to one of our Associate Directors. You will have the chance to meet regularly with your line manager to ensure you are fully supported in your role and since theatre consultancy is a specialist field, we will provide role-specific inductions and ongoing training to help you succeed. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design or project management, documentation review, and administration of projects from concept to detailed specification. Support consultants by producing presentations and reviewing design team documentation Create and maintain document templates and provide guidance to the design team on the effective use of templates Organise, compile and format design information from design team members into presentations and workbooks Maintain issue registers and document trackers relating to design team information and documentation Schedule and facilitate client, partner and internal CB meetings, preparing agendas, presentation materials, and recording actions and output from the meetings. Support the Project Lead with project milestone tracking. Facilitate Peer review and QA across all client issued documentation. Collaborate with project management teams in ensuring version control and document organization is maintained throughout the project via the construction management software platforms (procore) Attend remote client meetings and design workshops, and occasional in person visits if appropriate, to gain practical project exposure. Ensure clear methods of reporting project activities are maintained, sensible and accurate Support Lead working with internal design teams to develop holistic solutions balancing functionality and budget. Support client portfolio scale initiatives and assist in problem-solving for design challenges. Contribute to discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions within the company. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Participate in structured learning and development programs. Uphold Charcoalblue’s quality standards and cultural values. Conduct research on industry innovations, technical developments, and best practices. Experience Experience in relevant fields, including architecture, experience, events or production design, design management, project management, or related field through education, internships, or direct work experience. Exposure to theatre, live events, or construction-related environments is advantageous. Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Vectorworks, or similar) is desirable.
