We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join primary schools in the Thetford area. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that build on Key Stage 1 foundations, fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning in pupils as they prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons across the Year 2 curriculum.
* Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support.
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to drive achievement.
* Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, resources, and school initiatives.
* Engage with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1 is desirable; ECTs are welcome to apply.
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 2 Teacher.
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young learners.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
