Your responsibilities
:
1. Build effective working relationships with multi-professional colleagues to ensure smooth flow of communication about the spiritual needs of patients and families.
2. Identify and seek to address complex spiritual and religious needs in pastoral encounters.
3. Provide religious support for patients and their families.
4. Build effective relationships with faith representatives.
5. Keep up to date with relevant chaplaincy/spiritual care research to ensure pastoral, spiritual and religious care is evidence-based.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
6. Degree or equivalent in subject relevant to Healthcare Chaplaincy
7. Experience in a similar setting
8. Recent pastoral experience in a local faith or belief setting or equivalent.
9. Counselling experience is desirable.
10. Excellent communication skills
