Job Description
The role responsibilities as Director of Property Services are:
3. Strategic leadership of all property services, including repairs, maintenance, compliance, and capital works
4. Development and implementation of comprehensive asset management strategies
5. Oversight of major investment programmes and new building projects
6. Management of critical compliance and safety programmes
7. Leading digital transformation initiatives to enhance service delivery
8. Building and maintaining strong partnerships with contractors and stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
The successful Director of Property Services should have:
9. Minimum 5 years' senior management experience in property services, preferably within social housing
10. Degree level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Building Surveying, Facilities Management)
11. Membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIH, or CIOB)
12. Proven track record in managing large-scale repairs and maintenance services
13. Strong financial acumen and experience in managing substantial budgets
14. Excellence in stakeholder management and communication at all levels
15. Demonstrable success in driving service improvements and cultural change
16. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle and able to drive to Saffron Walden
17. Ability to participate in senior management on-call rota
18. Flexibility to attend evening meetings when required
19. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare
