We are seeking a Resilience Lead to join our Group Resilience team within Group Control, supporting the BUK business. The ideal candidate will have experience in Retail Banking, risk management, and influencing senior stakeholders (up to Managing Director, ExCo level), with excellent organizational, project planning, communication, and data analysis skills.
Key qualifications include:
1. Experience in a risk, control, resilience, or security role.
2. Experience in senior stakeholder management.
3. Leadership and influence within a matrix team environment.
Additional desirable skills:
1. Experience in Operational Resilience, understanding relevant regulations.
2. Governance and reporting expertise.
3. Technology awareness.
This role can be based in Knutsford or Glasgow.
Purpose of the role
Develop, implement, and maintain an effective resilience strategy, Operational Recovery Planning, and Incident Management framework aligned with industry standards and regulatory expectations to enable the bank to respond and recover from severe scenarios, minimizing impact on customers, clients, colleagues, and the market.
Accountabilities
1. Socialize and implement the resilience strategy across the firm, ensuring compliance with standards and controls.
2. Enhance the resilience, crisis, and incident management frameworks to ensure continuity of Important Business Services during disruptions.
3. Improve operational recovery planning and security incident management standards based on industry practices and emerging threats.
4. Oversee improvements in business, technology, and third-party recovery capabilities.
5. Communicate resilience status and risks via scorecards and dashboards for decision-making.
6. Ensure regular testing of resilience and incident response capabilities.
7. Guarantee services are built resiliently through change management processes.
8. Stay informed of developments in resilience, regulations, and industry landscape.
9. Mitigate impacts of incidents by swift response and resolution.
10. Document incidents, analyze lessons learned, and implement improvements.
