Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic individual to join our Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (APNP) team at Northumbria Healthcare. This role is open to both qualified APNPs and aspirants. The APNPs diagnose and treat healthcare needs of Children and Young People presenting to ED or admitted to SSPAU, working on a blended rota with Paediatric Registrars and SAS doctors.

* Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours/week, full-time with flexible working options

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* NMC / HCPC / GPC registration (NMC RN Child for APNP)
* Relevant degree, 2:2 or higher, willingness for MSc in Advanced Paediatric Practice
* Mentorship qualification, nonmedical prescriber (or willingness to work towards)
Desirable:
* Leadership qualification, IR(ME)R training, ALS/APLS, Major Incident Training, Prescribing qualification
Application Details
Applicants with a MSc in Advanced Paediatric Practice will be supported through a supernumerary program. Those without will undertake a 3-year part-time MSc, transitioning onto the medical rota upon completion. The role involves working towards full accreditation and independent practice.
