The Reservations Manager/Host oversees the reservations function, manages guest flow and delivers exceptional, personalised hospitality aligned with Michelin-star standards. The role requires impeccable attention to detail, organisation, discretion and a genuine passion for the guest experience.

About The Role

Reservations & Guest Experience

* Manage all reservations across booking platforms, phone, email, etc.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date reservation records, guest notes and dining preferences.
* Proactively manage waitlists, cancellations, amendments and special requests.
* Ensure a seamless and welcoming guest arrival experience, setting the tone for service excellence.
* Handle VIPs, repeat guests, dietary requirements, celebrations and special occasions with care and discretion.
* Communicate effectively with management regarding guest feedback, trends, and service opportunities.


Front-of-House Coordination

* Host and seat guests efficiently in line with service pacing and table planning.
* Work closely with the front of house and kitchen teams to manage guest flow and optimise covers.
* Anticipate peak periods and adjust seating plans to enhance both guest experience and operational efficiency.
* Maintain a calm, professional presence during high-pressure service times.


Systems & Administration

* Oversee and optimise reservation systems (i.e. OpenTable).
* Produce weekly and monthly reservation reports including covers, trends, no-shows and guest feedback.
* Manage reservation policies, deposits and cancellation procedures.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of reservations processes and guest communication.

The Ideal person has:

* Previous experience in a fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurant.
* Strong knowledge of reservations systems and guest management tools, ideally OpenTable.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Professional, polished and warm demeanour.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Passionate about food, wine, and exceptional service.

Required Criteria

* Restaurant reservations experience
* Restaurant hosting experience

Desired Criteria

* Fine dining or Michelin Star background
