Responsibilities to includeReporting to the Finance Director, this is a broad, hands-on role with responsibilities including:
1. Preparing timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with deadlines
2. Proposing and implementing process improvements, particularly around reconciliations and reporting
3. Supporting the month-end close process, including: Accruals and prepaymentsFixed assets and depreciation journals
4. Assisting with month-end financial reporting
5. Managing sales ledger processes including invoicing, credit notes and cash posting
6. Performing customer account reconciliations
7. Chasing outstanding debt via calls, statements and letters
8. Resolving customer queries in a timely manner
9. Checking and processing weekly timesheets
10. Supporting weekly payroll processing
11. Supporting the development and improvement of finance processes, procedures and controls
12. Providing cover and support across the wider finance team as required
What you'll need to succeed
13. Fully qualified AAT or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
14. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Finance Analyst or similar role
15. Strong IT skills including financial systems, Excel and Office 365
16. Solid experience in double-entry bookkeeping and account reconciliations
17. Strongmunication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
18. Highly numerate, analytical and detail-driven
19. Able to work effectively in a busy office environment with changing priorities
20. Well organised, self-motivated and able to meet fixed deadlines
