Job Description
My client is one of the largest handlers of new and used cars in the UK. They specialise in remarketing, logistics, and support services for the automotive industry, handling new and used vehicles from manufacturers, fleets, and dealers, including auctions, fleet management, refurbishment, and transport.
They require a Vehicle Painter to report into the Body Shop and Operations Manager based at their site in Corby.
The hourly rate for the role is up to £19.65 per hour and the hours of work are 06:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.
The main purpose of the role is to assist in the daily production of the Bodyshop department in order to achieve production figures and produce high quality vehicles in line with Customer standards.
Responsibilities
Paint preparation of the vehicle - masking and prepping if required
Spray painting required vehicles using water based paints
Checking paint colour and preparing spray out cards to ensure a perfect match
Cleaning up work area and making sure that equipment is working correctly
Supporting bodyshop team within other departments if required
Skills and expertise
Previous experience in a similar role as a Bodyshop Technician / Paint Sprayer (essential)
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required
