We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us at HMP Prisons as part of the multidisciplinary team providing Mental Health and Wellbeing Services to the populations of HMP Norwich, HMP Bure, and HMP Wayland. A very warm welcome awaits you!
If you want a role where you can develop your existing skills and learn something new every day in an environment that never stands still, then this is definitely the job for you! Prisons are among the most challenging yet rewarding workplaces for healthcare professionals.
We are seeking to recruit a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team.
Applicants must hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies.
You will work as part of a diverse and supportive team of Psychological Therapists, PWPs, nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists. We offer opportunities for continuous professional development through various training and development programs.
Note: This position involves working across multiple prison sites; therefore, the ability to drive and travel independently is essential, as some sites are not accessible by public transport.
What makes us different?
Our service employs an integrated model from arrest to release, enabling PWPs and the wider team to understand the full process and journey of the service user. This model promotes collaboration and a cohesive working environment. We invite your ideas to help us build, shape, and grow our service.
The role will be based across three prisons.
Our trust values are Positively, Respectfully, and Together. We seek team members who embody these values.
If you have not worked in this setting, we encourage you to contact us before applying for an informal visit to experience the role firsthand and meet our team.
