Role Overview
Our public sector client seeks a Head of Data Science and AI to lead a team of data scientists. Responsibilities include building team capabilities, setting objectives, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Skills and Experience
* Expertise in data science and machine learning techniques (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning); knowledge of generative AI is desirable.
* Strong knowledge of statistics, applied mathematics, and scientific analysis with proven experience in delivering organizational benefits.
* Proficiency in exploratory data analysis and handling large datasets.
* Experience with Machine Learning Ops and A/B testing.
* Understanding of responsible and ethical AI practices.
* Skills in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++.
Responsibilities
* Delivering efficiency and customer benefits through data science and AI.
* Strategizing on the responsible use of data science and AI for automation and insights.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize projects.
* Operationalizing data science and machine learning solutions.
* Leading and developing the data science team, including line management of Principal Data Scientists.
