Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Facilities Assistant to support a short-term project at a student accommodation site in Fallowfield, Manchester. This physically demanding temporary role involves the decanting of old student accommodation and managing reusable resources in accordance with site procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the decanting and clearing of old student accommodation units.
Sort, organise, and store reusable resources and equipment appropriately.
Follow instructions from site supervisors and team leaders to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
Work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain site safety.
Comply with all relevant Health & Safety procedures and guidelines.
Carry out tasks that may involve manual handling, lifting, and moving items.
Candidate Requirements:
Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks for extended periods.
Must be able to carry heavy and bulky objects up & down stairs, utilising manual handling techniques where necessary,
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow clear instructions.
No driving licence required for this position.
