Job Details
Support the financial control and monitoring of the Adhesives and Biosurgicals Business Units.
What will this role involve?
Preparation of monthly Key Drivers sales and revenue reporting.
Support a review of the Business Unit P&L each month providing insight and commentary to key variances.
Lead the monthly reporting process for Business Unit operating expenses working to monthly timetable.
Coordinate and challenge spend and forward forecast with departmental heads and cost centre managers.
Ensure that variances to planned and forecast spend are understood and explained.
Maintain accurate headcount forecasting models for the Business Unit working closely with departmental heads.
Prepare a monthly review of capitalised labour costs ensuring compliance and accuracy of the balance sheet.
Provide an in depth review of BU margins each reporting cycle taking in to account intercompany product flows.
Use external data sources (example Cardinal Sales tracings and chargebacks, NHS Supply Chain) and produce and maintain meaningful data and insights.
Support the preparation of intercompany sales forecasts, inventory reviews and monthly reporting for AMS US Inc legal entity.
Review and approve 3rd party charges such as rebates and discounts.
Support the Business Unit Heads of Finance with production and review of business cases for new customers, products or regulatory requirements as required.
Report on and review sales commission scheme data by country.
Provide support with internal and external audit as and when required.
Support the Business Unit Heads of Finance with the annual budget process.
Help maintain and develop pricing tools appropriate for each Business Unit/ Route to market.
What we're looking for?
Commercially focussed finance experience.
ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified (ideal).
Strong systems skills (Excel, Access, BI, ERP) with a desire to continuously improve knowledge, streamline our data processing and the ability to present data in a meaningful and insightful way to finance and non-finance colleagues.
The ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Ability to communicate with, challenge and influence stakeholders within and outside of finance.
Problem solving ability.
