Do you have experience in the Sea freight Industry?
We are currently looking for a Seafreight Operations Supervisor to join our Europa Team in our Birmingham office. You will take responsibilities for the smooth cargo journey from ocean to delivery, ensuring all customs, shipment and operational costs are accounted for and applied and that goods are efficiently cleared for entry. You will build, manage and maintain relationships with key Europa Air & Sea stakeholders and support the day-to-day operations through excellent customer service and attention to detail.
Our Ideal Person:
* Proven experience of supervising a team, always demonstrating the highest standards of integrity and fairness
* Will ensure continuous improvement is maintained in customer service performance
* Experience in ocean imports/Exports, with some exposure to customs processes/ clearance
* Time management and strong communication skills.
* The ability to prioritise and to pro-actively deal with time critical situations, using own initiative.

In this role you will:
* Provide day-to-day supervision and coordination support to a team of Import and Export Operators.
* Responsible for day-to-day completion of team tasks and divisional KPIs
* To efficiently and accurately operate Seafreight import / export files.
* To be responsible for proactive communication both internally and externally, providing updates for agents, customers, Customer Service and Business Development managers through phone and email.
* To respond in a timely manner to challenges presented by customers/stakeholders.
* To ensure problematic tasks that are held for any reason are rectified in a timely manner.
* Manage and arrange customs clearance and booking processes for import/export files.
* Ensure that excellent and consistent service levels are met at all times.
* Check invoicing to ensure files are accurately costed and invoiced.
* Be aware of customer credit limits on accounts in-line with company policy.
* Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager, commensurate with the role.
