The Role – what will I be doing?
As a Dealership Accountant, you will play a vital role in producing accurate and timely management accounts and monitoring the financial performance of each department within your area of responsibility.
You will report to the Group Accounts Manager and work closely with our Accounts teams across the Group.
You will do this by:
1. Producing accurate and timely monthly Management Accounts and Balance Sheet reconciliations
2. Liaising with the accounts team to ensure awareness of all financial issues
3. Preparing and submitting the Manufacturer composites by their deadlines
4. Providing advice and information on financial matters to support effective dealership operations
5. Overseeing the reconciliation of the balance sheet and communicating discrepancies to the Group Accounts Manager
6. Ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and up to date
7. Preparing annual business plans with the management team
8. Coordinating and attending vehicle and parts stock checks
9. Assisting with the year-end audit and preparing relevant files
10. Identifying and leading opportunities for financial control improvements
11. Leading ad-hoc projects related to the accounts function

4. Confidence using Excel and other Microsoft Office packages
