* Job Responsibilities:
* Policies and procedures: You will comply with all policies and procedures at all times which include:
o Ensuring the safeguarding of young people by adherence to the child protection and safeguarding policies
o Ensuring all equality, diversity and health and safety requirements are upheld in the performance of your duties
o Ensuring you comply with the Trust’s Staff Behaviour policy, including outside of work where applicable
* Support for the Pupil:
o Work under the direct supervision of colleagues to meet needs of individuals or small groups assigned
o Support pupils’ learning activities including additional learning needs and development
o Support pupils’ physical needs to overcome potential barriers to learning
o Support pupils’ individual learning needs and development, e.g., cognitive and learning skills
o Support teachers and teaching assistants in assessing pupil progress and attainment
o Help with the care and support of pupils
o Contribute to the health and well-being of pupils
o Establish and maintain relationships with individual pupils and groups
o Use planning from colleagues to regulate own workload
o Support for the Teacher/Teaching Assistant:
o Help with maintenance and deployment of classroom resources and records
o Contribute to the management of pupil behaviour
o Provide assessment feedback to inform planning
o Support for the Curriculum:
o Provide support for learning activities across all areas of the curriculum as appropriate
o Support the use of ICT in the classroom
o Support colleagues in preparing resources used to support learning
o Support colleagues in providing a vibrant learning environment across the academy
o Support for the School:
o Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and parents
o Contribute to the maintenance of pupil safety and wellbeing
o Review and develop own professional practice

o The training and qualifications are based in the workplace, no attendance at college required
o Employers are required to give apprentices 6 hours off the job training included in their paid working hours so that equates to one day per week to work on their apprenticeship tasks set by the Assessor
