The Role…
At Soho House, as a Safety & Operations Assistant, you will support the club's day-to-day operations by helping maintain a safe, secure, and smoothly functioning environment for members, guests, and staff. Working closely with the Safety & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with routine safety checks, incident reporting, access control, and the general support of all operational areas across the club.
This hands-on role is ideal for a proactive, observant, and dependable individual who takes pride in upholding high standards of safety and service.

Key duties…
Conduct regular safety and operational checks across the club, including fire exits, first aid stations, lighting, and equipment.
Monitor and report on any health, safety, or security risks or hazards to the appropriate department.
Support the implementation and enforcement of health & safety policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
Assist with access control, visitor logs, deliveries, and contractor supervision when required.
Help coordinate evacuations and drills under the direction of the Safety & Operations Manager.
Record incidents, accidents, and near-misses with accuracy and discretion.
Support the wider Operations team during busy periods or events, assisting with movement of supplies, room checks, and setup tasks.
Assist with inventory checks, security rounds, and the maintenance of safety equipment.
Act as a point of contact for any urgent maintenance or security issues in the absence of a supervisor.
Ensure a visible, professional presence within the club to reassure members and uphold club standards
What We Are Looking For...
A successful Safety & Operations Assistant for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years' experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You'll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
Experience in a safety, facilities, or operational support role preferred
Strong awareness of health & safety standards and willingness to learn procedures
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly in emergencies
Excellent communication and observational skills
Computer literacy for logging reports and conducting safety checks
Desirable
First Aid, Fire Warden, or manual handling training
Experience in a private club, hospitality, or high-end service environment
Familiarity with security, H&S, or compliance software/systems
