Expires Saturday 1 November 2025 at 00:59 The role As Wheelchair Therapist, you will deliver wheelchair services to the highest clinical and ethical standards.
You will provide training and supervision to students, less experienced colleagues and service users.
Key duties.
Leading the wheelchair team in agreed area of speciality Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) at all levels to ensure the most appropriate and effective treatment for service users Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing and adjusting wheelchairs and accessories as required.
Ensuring service Delivery using agreed processes to meet Key Performance Indicators Supporting the Clinical Lead to develop and maintain protocols, standards, systems and administrative functions to ensure the seamless delivery of services to service users Working within the company framework to ensure cost effective product provision.
Participating in clinical audit and clinical research, liaising with both clinical and technical employees.
Providing training to MDT/referrers/other healthcare professionals/Blatchford team in the field of wheelchairs What are we looking for? Key skills BSc Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy or equivalent HCPC Registered Evidence of Recent CPD Previous experience in the provision of specialist seating Able to prioritise and manage your own workload Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Competent Microsoft Office application skills Ability to manage difficult and challenging situations in sensitive situations Good judgment and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively under pressure to the demands of the service What can we offer you?
