Job Opportunity
This is an exciting chance to join a company where tradition meets innovation. The company is investing further in the UK market and seeks a Technical Services Manager to lead the Technical Team, with opportunities for growth and development within the company.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead the company’s UK product safety, quality, legality, and authenticity responsibilities, in conjunction with the Group Central Technical function.
* Maintain high service levels through direct liaison with customers’ technical teams and suppliers.
* Manage technical services tasks including specifications, audit questionnaires, gap analysis, customer site visits, BRC and HACCP compliance, food labelling, ERP system management, horizon scanning, shelf-life extensions, traceability, and customer complaints.
* Champion Food Safety Culture within the organisation.
* Manage two direct reports, overseeing their training and development.
* Identify and pursue projects for process improvements, with business support.
Candidate Profile
* Degree or HND in a food-related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical role within a BRC-accredited food manufacturing environment in the UK or Ireland.
* Knowledge of supply requirements for leading grocery retailers and major food manufacturers, including compliance standards.
* Excellent organisational, time management, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to influence and manage teams and stakeholders effectively.
* Full, clean driving license is essential.
