Senior Revit Technician
Overview
An established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Revit Technician to support the delivery of a wide range of structural and civil engineering projects. This role is well-suited to a candidate who can lead on detailed design, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and take ownership of high-quality BIM output.
Key Responsibilities
Produce, develop, and manage detailed Revit models for structural and / or civil engineering projects.
Lead drawing production and ensure all outputs meet required technical standards.
Coordinate models and drawings with architects, engineers, and external stakeholders.
Oversee BIM workflows and contribute to the continual refinement of internal Revit processes.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians within the team.
Attend project meetings where required to discuss design progress and technical challenges.
Ensure project deadlines are met, managing workload effectively across multiple schemes.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience working as a Revit Technician within a structural or civil engineering environment.
Proven ability to produce accurate and detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
Excellent understanding of BIM standards, coordination workflows, and clash detection processes.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications with a high level of accuracy.
Good communication skills and confidence liaising with both internal design teams and external partners.
Experience supporting or leading junior team members is advantageous.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant design software is beneficial.
Qualifications
HNC / HND, ONC, or similar in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
Additional training or certification in Revit or BIM is desirable.
