Our global chemical manufacturing client is looking for an experienced and high performing Maintenance Technician to join their successful process plant and test centre. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the plant through various maintenance tasks. This includes maintaining workshop organisation, performing basic repairs and assisting with equipment operation and parts management. The role also involves supporting engineers and handling a range of basic maintenance activities across the facility. The successful candidate will start on a long term temporary contract, which will become permanent after a successful probation period. The role: * Maintain a high standard of organisation and cleanliness in the workshop through 5S principles. * Perform basic painting tasks, such as floor painting. * Operate forklift equipment; training will be provided if necessary. * Operate hoist and sling equipment; training will be provided if necessary. * Conduct various odd jobs around the plant, covering a wide scope of basic maintenance activities. * Assist with parts management and inventory tasks. * Provide support to engineers when an additional pair of hands is needed. * Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently and safely, adhering to company standards Desired Skills: * Experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing plant * Familiarity with workshop organisation and 5S principles. * Proficiency in basic painting tasks, such as floor painting. * Experience operating forklifts, hoists, and sling equipment is advantageous. * Ability to perform a wide range of general maintenance tasks and odd jobs efficiently. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm Hourly Rate: 19.25 per hour
