Machine Operator – Pasteurising Area

Working Hours & Pay
Monday to Friday, 07:00 am – 17:30 pm
Starting pay: £13.00 per hour (Negotiable depending on experience). This is a temporary to permanent opportunity.
Future shift pattern will move to a 4 on / 4 off rota, including weekends; flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring pasteurising machinery used for heat‑treating liquid products
- Loading raw materials into the pasteurising system
- Checking temperatures, timings, and process controls to ensure food safety standards are met
- Carrying out quality checks (consistency, colour, contamination)
- Accurately recording production data and completing paperwork
- Cleaning and sanitising equipment in line with hygiene standards
- Following strict health & safety and food hygiene (HACCP) procedures
- Reporting any faults, issues, or inconsistencies to supervisors
- Supporting general production tasks when required
Requirements
- Previous experience within a production or food manufacturing environment (essential)
- Valid Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Reliable, with a good work ethic
- Able to commit to 12-hour shifts and future weekend work
- Own transport required due to location
