Overview
The Engineering, Compliance & CI Director is a newly created position within the senior management team of our Landing Gear MRO operations. You will develop and execute local strategies whilst embedding our values through your leadership, contributing to a positive, improvement‑based culture. The role oversees regulatory compliance (H&S and Quality) and adherence to technical standards while improving processes across the organisation to enhance performance and support operational excellence.
Responsibilities
 * Develop and execute local strategies, embedding company values and fostering a positive, improvement‑based culture.
 * Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to technical standards across the organisation.
 * Lead strategy and execution of core MRO business operations, including Quality, HSE, CI/Engineering, cultural change and process excellence.
 * Maintain compliance with UK legislation and SAFRAN Group standards, ensuring the safety of all site personnel.
 * Act as Energy/Carbon Reduction lead, promoting the HS&E agenda and driving robust analysis and actions to mitigate risks and accidents on site.
 * Manage and facilitate Engineering & Continuous Improvement activities (including IS projects), accountable for strategy design and project implementation.
 * Champion a company‑wide culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement through engagement and change management activities.
 * Own the training framework: training delivery, maintenance of the training/skills matrix, and competence reviews.
 * Provide leadership, influence and motivation to cross‑functional teams at all levels of the organisation.
Qualifications
 * Proven leader and strategic thinker, capable of influencing and motivating cross‑functional teams.
 * Experience working with aviation regulators (CAA, EASA, FAA) and Part 145 regulations.
 * Awareness of AS9100 assessment tools and continuous improvement experience; Blackbelt certification desired or working towards.
 * Strong statistical and analytical skills.
 * Knowledge of energy and decarbonisation, prepared to support training in this area.
 * Preferably qualified NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification.
 * Working knowledge of ISO OHSAS 18001, BSI ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Management Systems and Safran HSE Standards.
 * In‑depth knowledge of Aerospace Overhaul processes, Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) and Repair Concession (RC) processes.
