As a growing company, we’re always looking for ambitious individuals to join our journey and we are currently looking to recruit and train new sales talent, through a structured three-year internship, to join the Company’s journey. The internship will be spanning both our Internal and External Sales teams, providing the opportunity to build commercial awareness, master practical sales skills, and contribute to real customer outcomes. At the end of the programme, interns apply for a permanent role in either Internal or External Sales. Your Three-Year Journey Year 1 - Building Foundational Sales Skills Your first year is all about building those essential soft skills that are required to be a successful sales team member, such as time management, prioritisation and effective communication. Alongside this you will be learning the fundamentals of our Products, CRM system the required sales techniques. You will gain deep product knowledge through hands on exposure in a variety of departments, to give you a clear understanding of the product lifecycle. Year 2 – Developing Sales Skills & Customer Exposure Your second year will be focused on sharpening your negotiation and presentation skills, learning advanced sales strategies and mastering approaches to prospecting. This is where the theory gets put into practice as you work on real-time projects, collaborate across departments and actively contribute to sales campaigns to begin making a measurable impact. This real-life sales experience will be key for developing further skills in conflict resolution, adaptability and resilience. Year 3 – Transition & Leadership Your final year is centred around preparing for a future full-time sales role and learning how leadership skills and strategic contribution is key for future success. You will take ownership of the entire sales cycle from following up on new business leads, to managing key accounts. You can also expect to lead proposals, learn how to analyse key data, undertake sales forecasting and territory planning. About You We are looking for someone who combines technical ability with the right mindset for success in a sales environment. Essential requirements: Strong computer skills: Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems to manage data and communicate effectively. Commercial awareness: Understand the basics of business operations and the importance of delivering value to customers. GCSE Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent): A solid foundation for handling pricing, margins and data analysis. Full UK driving licence: Required for regular customer site visits and building relationships with key accounts. Desirable qualifications and experience: 2:1 or higher degree (or equivalent) in engineering: Mechanical, manufacturing, chemical, environmental, automotive or aerospace disciplines will give you an edge in understanding our technical products. Salary: The salary we are offering will grow each year as your responsibilities evolve. The salary structure for this role is as follows: Year 1 – Starting salary of £30,000 Year 2 – £33,000 at the start of year 2 Year 3 – £36,000 plus a car allowance at the start year 3 Role Specific Benefits: Your bonus scheme also evolves over this three-year period, to reflect the expected increase in your contribution to tangible sales results. In year 1 and 2 performance will be recognised through our Company profit sharing bonus scheme, with bonus payments twice a year (March & September). Over this period of time, you can expect your level of hybrid working and off site meeting to increase, however within this role you will consistently work 37.5 hours per week, based on a standard pattern of working hours between 8:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 – 14:30 on a Friday. The working model will be as follows: Year 1 & 2 - Based primarily in the Camberley office to allow you to build the foundation of your business, product and sales knowledge and to collaborate closely with the team. And transition to hybrid working within the first 3-6 months with a minimum of 3 days in the office, as responsibilities broaden and more interaction with customers and wider business takes place. Year 3 - Transition into a fully remote, external sales role, undertaking supervised client visits across the UK with occasional overseas travel. Training & Mentoring Throughout the programme, you will receive structured support to help you succeed. Everyday guidance will ensure you stay on track with your workload and development goals, while regular structured check-ins provide career advice and coaching. You will also have access to a buddy system for informal support and guidance. Our training and mentoring plan combines practical experience with formal learning. Expect on-the-job exposure to all sales tasks, cross-departmental rotations to understand our operations, and a comprehensive soft skills and technical sales learning plan, delivered through e-learning, shadowing, workshops and role-play scenarios. Progress will be measured through performance reviews, knowledge checks, feedback and achievement of key milestones.
