- Job Title: Lead Veterinary Surgeon
- Salary: From £70,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience
- Location: Buckhurst Hill hospital
- Job Type: Permanent
- Hours: 40 hours per week over 4 days (set day off each week). Part time applications welcome.
- Schedule: 1 in 4 Saturdays on rota (alternating between full and half days). No nights, no on call, no Sundays.
This hospital offers exceptional transport links into the City, while the beautiful Epping Forest is right at your doorstep. This opportunity allows you to lead a collaborative 4-5 vet team London. Accommodation is available if required. Their current team comprises robust general practice clinicians, fostering an environment where special interests are encouraged and supported. With a visiting ultrasonographer and excellent relationships with peripatetic orthopaedic/soft tissue surgeons, you will have all the support needed to handle complex cases and retain strong client bonds.
Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated veterinary surgeon who is passionate about providing the highest level of care to both animals and their owners. This is an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to progress into a leadership role within clinical practice. Enjoy working as a part of a multi-vet team, where you will offer mentorship and support to colleagues. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with associates at all levels.
- Work alongside the Clinical Director to uphold the highest standards of clinical care.
- Engage in a mix of general practice consultations and surgery throughout the week, with a protected day for administration tasks.
- Develop and implement preventative, diagnostic, and treatment plans for all cases.
- Mentor and collaborate with colleagues to ensure practice protocols are upheld.
- Delegate tasks appropriately across clinical and support staff.
