Overview
As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing complex project schedules across large-scale infrastructure programmes. Provide clear insights into project performance, risks, and progress to support effective decision-making and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain detailed, logic-driven project schedules (Primavera P6) across the full lifecycle—from concept through to delivery.
* Analyse critical paths, risks, and delays; implement mitigation strategies to maintain programme integrity.
* Lead schedule reviews of contractor and supply chain programmes to ensure compliance and quality.
* Support scenario planning and provide data-driven insights to senior stakeholders.
* Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) to track performance and forecast outcomes.
* Conduct schedule risk analysis and manage baseline changes with full audit traceability.
* Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure realistic planning assumptions.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in project planning within large-scale construction or infrastructure environments.
* Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office tools.
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project sequencing.
* Experience working with standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC/FIDIC) and assessing delay impacts.
* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
