AI PMO Lead
About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced PMO Lead to join our client AI Team, supporting delivery governance, alignment, and visibility across a portfolio of AI‑driven products and initiatives. Operating within the Programme Management Office, you will work closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and AI Specialists to ensure structured delivery, strong governance, and effective control mechanisms across all AI product workstreams

Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)
Key responsibilities
AI Product Governance & Delivery
* Support AI leadership in facilitating governance forums, preparing delivery packs, and driving actions and decisions through closure.
* Ensure adherence to delivery frameworks and methodologies relevant to AI development, data‑centric workflows, and product lifecycle management.
* Maintain oversight of documentation and standards, ensuring key artefacts are reviewed and approved.
AI Delivery Planning, Reporting & Dependencies
* Track progress across AI product workstreams, providing structured status updates.
* Identify risks, issues, and cross‑team dependencies.
* Support structured change control across scope, roadmap, and budget.
Documentation & AI Governance Artefacts
* Maintain project documentation including schedules, reports, and readiness summaries.
* Ensure auditability across AI model changes and approvals.
Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery Support
* Partner with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
* Provide guidance on delivery processes and documentation.
Operational & Administrative Support
* Support onboarding/offboarding, POs, planning workshops, and events.
Experience & Skills
* 5+ years' experience supporting product or programme delivery
* Strong financial acumen
* Strong understanding of agile delivery, product lifecycle management, and AI workflows.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
* AI and PowerBI experience advantageous

* A day rate, in-scope of IR35, either via a Hays approved umbrella company or via Hays PAYE
* This role provides a remote working access from the comforts of your own home and only going to our state-of-the-art office in Waterside 3 days per week.
