CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, 42 average hours per week, 12 hour days 4 on 4 off shift rota pattern SALARY: £18.23 per hour BENEFITS: EAP, Westfield Health, Life Insurance CLOSING DATE: 27 th June 2025 To provide support the maintenance department at Daldowie fuel plant. Hargreaves Industrial Services have a contract with Drax power to carry out support services to the main operational & maintenance activities at Daldowie Fuel Pant. These activities include plant maintenance, tanker services, general cleaning, labouring & housekeeping duties. The role briefly encompasses the following duties: - Experience of heavy industrial machinery and material handling equipment. Experience in carrying out both reactive and planned mechanical repairs on various industrial machinery within the water sector such as valves, pump & pipe repairs. Experience of working within the wastewater industry is preferred. Able to work within a multi skilled team and on their own initiative. Working within clear set of safety rules Competent to operate safely using permit to work system. General maintenance and routines The successful candidate will be required to have the following skills: - Qualified mechanical fitter. Experienced & competent in carrying out mechanical repairs on pumps, pipes, valves & other mechanical apparatus. A flexible & adaptable approach to work A reliable attitude and good punctuality Good communication skills & the confidence and professionalism to liaise with the maintenance team A safety conscious attitude and commitment to always abide by all safety rules and systems. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines when required. understanding of Risk Assessments & Method Statements required. Safety Passport desired but training can be given to the right candidate. Clear understanding of Health and Safety rules is a must. Ability to work overtime if required.
