Acute Occupational Therapy Bank Support Worker
An opportunity has arisen to join the Acute Occupational Therapy Team at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary as a bank Support worker.
Responsibilities
* Provide assistance to the Registered OT.
* Allocate a patient caseload and implement and modify existent treatment plans within your scope of practice to achieve positive outcomes.
* Liaise with patients, carers and external sources – excellent communication skills required.
* Multitask in a busy environment and organise your caseload.
* May be requested to undertake non‑clinical duties within the department.
* Support a learning environment through regular supervision and training.

This post is a bank ‘as and when’ contract with no guaranteed hours. You may be asked to work during the week, weekends and on public holidays.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, but hourly rate increases to keep pay unchanged.
