Are you a strategic commercial leader ready to shape the direction of a thriving infrastructure business? Our client, a well-established contractor with an evolving portfolio across regulated sectors, is seeking a Head of Commercial to work closely with the Managing Director and drive commercial performance across major projects - including a growing footprint in the energy sector.
The Role
This senior appointment will take responsibility for leading commercial strategy, governance and delivery. You'll guide commercial teams, influence business decisions, and ensure robust financial, contractual and operational performance. Acting as a key partner to the MD, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping business growth, client relationships, and delivery success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial function across multi-disciplinary programmes
Work alongside the MD to set direction, drive performance and support business strategy
Strengthen commercial processes, governance, risk management and reporting
Build strong client and stakeholder relationships across regulated markets
Champion value creation, innovation and efficiency in programme delivery
About You
Degree, HND/HNC or equivalent qualification
Professionally qualified (or equivalent senior-level experience)
Significant commercial leadership experience within contracting environments
Proven exposure to energy infrastructure (e.g., National Grid) and/or rail frameworks
Strong contractual knowledge and commercial acumen across project lifecycles
Excellent communication, leadership presence and stakeholder engagement skills
