Job Purpose
To maintain and repair a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment including all building services as defined on the “Scope of Works” in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
To carry out management duties as detailed in the principal accountabilities.
To provide on-site coaching to the Technicians and other engineers within your team.
Key Accountabilities
1. Provide on call cover to multiple sites and be part of the on-call rota
2. Provide technical support to the DMT
3. Ensure under performance on KPI’s are understood within the teams and action plans are in place to improve performance
4. Ensure that all costs are approved following the correct company procedures
5. Check the quality of PPM’s conducted by the DMT’s and DMA’s during site visits
6. Support the Hard Services Manager on technical, organisational and people issues
7. Provide cover for the Engineering Manager during times of absence, holidays, and meetings.
8. Carry out specified depot programme both reviews on quality and Health & Safety and act on non-compliances
9. Complete specified reports and act on any issues raised
10. Audit FM documentation and act on any non-compliances
11. Complete and monitor all necessary reports on the performance of team members and take action on unsatisfactory performance.
Qualifications & Experience
12. City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Installation (or equivalent)
13. City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection)
14. BS76712018 – Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
15. CITB SSSTS (or equivalent)
16. Proven track record of supervising a team within an electrical maintenance environment.
17. Previous experience of managing/prioritising a varied/demanding workload.
18. Minimum 3 years’ previous experience of operating within a large-scale distribution site
19. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with the client.
20. Proficient with MS Office.
21. Knowledge of CAFM software and experience of Verisae.
