Progress your engineering career in one of the key roles within Allianz Engineering Inspection Services. As an Engineer Surveyor, you visit client sites to carry out inspections and assess a wide range of plant, equipment, and installations.
As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor you will automatically be enrolled onto our unrivaled induction training programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline to join Allianz Engineering, a division of one of the largest insurers and financial services companies in the world.
Responsibilities
* Anticipate the client’s needs and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Work closely with your Engineer Surveyor Team managed by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
* Prepare electronic inspection reports for fast and efficient delivery to clients.
* Carry out hands‑on inspections of lifts, material handling equipment, cranes and construction plant.
* Perform the role in physically demanding environments, including work at height, confined spaces, lifting and climbing in hot and cold conditions; operate safely in noisy and dusty settings.
Salary Information
Starting Salary: £45,539 per annum. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
* Up‑to‑date knowledge and understanding of all relevant compliance and regulatory rules and procedures for the Lift and Crane discipline.
* Ability to make well‑informed decisions and take responsibility.
* Effective in short‑, medium‑ and long‑term planning to diary meetings, visits and workload allocation.
* Ability to travel efficiently within your local allocated work area.
* Proficient in processing documentation and undertaking general administration in a timely manner.
* Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors within your discipline when required.
* Passion for engineering and self‑driven, able to interact with a variety of clients daily.
* Background in working with lifts, cranes and material handling equipment, with hands‑on experience in manufacturing, repair or maintenance.
* Strong customer interaction skills, including good oral and written communication skills.
Essential Skills
* NVQ Level 3 or above in a Mechanical related subject.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Excellent time‑management skills and ability to self‑sufficiently organise your week’s work.
* Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of daily work.
Desirable Skills
* Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
* Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
