Job Description
This role is located in Marchwood, within the Cawood Scientific Environment Division. Marchwood, part of Cawood, was established in 1998 and performs a range of specialist analytical testing services to customers operating in the Environmental, Industrial and Agricultural Sectors from its three laboratories based in the South and North of England. Main duties
* Making up of sampling media to be sent out to customers. Including treatment of filters, making up of solutions, building up cassettes.
* Gravimetric analysis - pre weighing and re weighing filters.
* Customer interaction through email communication when taking orders.
* Making up of urine kits/ recycling of media.
* Capable of working independently as well as in a team.
* Potential cross training in the laboratory for different extraction techniques for samples.
* Understand and follow SOPs/WIs provided, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and the internal Quality Management System.
* Maintain Cawood credibility by always portraying a positive image by keeping equipment and PPE clean.
* Work as a team and maintaining morale and actively offer help and assistance wherever possible.
* Responsible for keeping safety at the forefront of lab work and being proactive ensuring accidents and near misses are always reported straightaway to Managers in line with our company accreditation and policy.
