The Scottish Bowel Screening Programme are looking for Screening Officers to be part of the busy National Bowel Screening Helpline and undertake administrative duties within the Bowel Screening Centre in Kings Cross. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working as part of a team as well as the ability to work without direct supervision and a willingness to learn. It is essential that you enjoy working with the public, have good interpersonal skills and a friendly manner. Good verbal and written communication skills are an important part of this post. Duties will include answering telephone calls, emails and letters from Bowel Screening Participants, collation of data from Health Board and GP Practices pertaining to Helpline Service. Previous experience of call handling, data input and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential for this post. Knowledge of general office duties preferably gained within a Health Environment preferred, although this is not essential. You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
