A successful software house in East Kilbride is looking to add a UX Researcher to the team. The company decided to modernise their product offerings by moving from desktop to cloud a few years. This digital transformation has gone really well and overall, the business has been doing great. They've got an exciting couple years ahead with new product releases coming up, intriguing collaborations with other companies in the sector and continuous improvements on existing products.
In terms of their design function, they're in a really interesting spot. Having introduced design-led thinking into the business a few years back, they've really seen it come into fruition over the last year or so and with that, the business has invested more and more into design. With this, they've expanded the team a few times and are now looking for a specialist UX Researcher to join as well.
As an organisation, they're one of the best at bringing graduate/junior talent in and investing into upskilling them but for this role, they're ideally looking for someone that can come in and hit the ground running. You will be joining a design team of 5 people and will be the companies first out and out UX Researcher. The Designers in the team have a mix of skills - some are more UX Design focused, and others are more UI Design focused. They all understand the importance of research and can do their bit within research but none of them are specialist UX Researchers, which is where you will come in to play.
As their first UX Researcher, you'll have a good amount of autonomy in terms of the research function. You'll be championed to
