Aberdeenshire Council is committed to increasing opportunities in the local area by providing Modern Apprenticeships (MA). These apprenticeships allow you to gain skills, experience, and knowledge in the world of work, as well as obtaining a formal qualification.
Based in the Planning and Economy Team within Infrastructure Services, you will assist in a range of administrative duties, including processing new planning and building warrant applications using our Platforms and Electronic Document Management Systems.
You will gain experience in file management, document conversion, scanning, receipting of financial information, and customer service skills. The role requires good communication and organizational skills, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Successful candidates will undertake training through the Aberdeenshire Council Modern Apprenticeship Scheme for SVQ Level 2. To qualify for funding from Skills Development Scotland, this program is open to candidates aged 16-19. If you have a disability or are a care leaver*, you are eligible to apply up to the age of 29. Academic requirements include Scottish National Level 4 or 5, Standard Grade in Mathematics and English, or equivalent transferable experience and skills.
*Any adult who spent time in care as a child.
This is a fixed-term position for up to 24 months.
